NMRoads: Your Mobile Access to Up-to-Date Travel Information
NMRoads is a free Android application that provides access to the latest travel and traffic information from the New Mexico Department of Transportation's Intelligent Transportation Systems Bureau. This app is designed to assist New Mexico and interstate motorists in navigating the state's highways and roads safely and efficiently.
The app's main feature is a scrollable and interactive map display that allows users to fully zoom in and out. The map provides real-time traffic information, including alerts to crashes, road closures, and other traffic-related issues. Users can also view live camera feeds from over 70 locations to check roadway and traffic conditions. In addition, the app provides travel times for drive-time commuters in the Albuquerque metro area and links to NM Rail Runner Express commuter train services and schedules. Other features include Park and Ride locations, bicycle routes, and trucking information. The app also provides direct access to National Weather Service forecasts, maps, and radar data.
